Outside Organizations Supported by St. Anthony Catholic Church
Camden County Heart: This is a not-for-profit corporation funded by the Camden County Senior Citizens Tax Board with matching funds from the Missouri Department of Transportation and community donations. The mission of this program is to provide transportation to medical service providers for persons 60 or older, or handicapped persons 18 and older in Camden County. If you would like to volunteer as a transportation provider or make a donation, call the Parish Office at 346-2716.
Child Advocacy: The Camden County Child Advocacy Council is a group whose purpose is to make the public aware of the role they can play in child abuse prevention. They provide educational campaigns and aid abused and neglected children, acting as advocates for the general welfare of children and the family. CADV/VOC (Citizens Against Domestic Violence/Victims Outreach Center): This is a non-profit organization that provides crisis intervention, shelter, advocacy, and support to victims of family violence and sexual assault. All services are confidential and free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. St. Anthony offers support through its various organizations. If you would like to assist victims in our community through donations of money, services, or time, please call 573-346-9630 or 1-800-809-SAFE.
Habitat for Humanity: Lake of the Ozarks Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit corporation formed to build homes for families who could not otherwise afford to buy their own home. See the web site for further information on how you can qualify or how you can help.
Knights of Columbus: The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic fraternal, family and service organization dedicated to the principles of Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism. Camdenton Council #6365 members are made up of men from St. Anthony and other parishes. The Knights promote priestly and religious vocation and financially support seminarians. They also provide funds for Pro-Life programs and Missouri Special Olympics, and provide scholarships for High School seniors. They support other charitable and youth programs.

Lake Area Helping Hands: This is the local homeless shelter located on West Hwy 54. It provides shelter for families, single women and men. Assistance is provided in obtaining social services and finding employment. The shelter is a not for profit corporation funded by local churches, organizations, friends and government/corporate grants. Help is always welcome in staffing the office, organizing the food and clothing, storage area, and building maintenance. If interested in volunteering call 573-346-4968.
LAMB (Lake Area Ministerial Benevolence) House: This ecumenical organization is supported by various Churches in the Camdenton community as an extension of the Lake Area Ministerial Alliance. It provides assistance to the needy by providing food, clothing, commodities and occasionally fuel and rental assistance. Volunteers are needed to separate coupons, sort donated items and work in the store. Anyone can help by providing clipped coupons and depositing them in the basket provided at the back of the Church. Volunteers may call the Church office for the Church chairperson. LAMB House is located at 50 Illinois St. N.E. You can call them at 573-346-2168.
Meals on Wheels: Meals on Wheels provides home delivery of meals prepared by the Senior Citizens Center and delivered by volunteers from five churches in Camdenton. St. Anthony Church volunteers to deliver meals generally one day every five weeks, requiring 1 ½ to 2 hours of your time. Contact the Parish Office.
Missouri Catholic Conference: The Missouri Catholic Conference offices are located in Jefferson City. They are the public policy agency of Missouri’s four Catholic Dioceses. The Citizens network is the key to changing things for the better. Volunteers write letters, make phone calls, and visit with public officials. Pregnancy Help Center: Each woman who comes to this center is given personal and confidential attention for her individual needs. These concerns go beyond possible or actual pregnancy. Within this program is the “Mommy in Need Program” which is a “learn and earn” program to assist new moms with necessary skills. For more information call 573-346-3337.
