Commissions
Ministries of the Worship and Spiritual Development Commission
These Ministries are under the direction of the Pastor with the assistance of the Commission Chairperson. This commission plans and coordinates all liturgical celebrations at St. Anthony Parish, including the services of the Mass, the celebration of the Sacraments, and the mystery of Christ, to inspire all to the Kingdom of God.
Acolytes (Mass Servers)
Acolytes are boys and girls who assist in taking care of the altar and assist the clergy at all liturgical celebrations, especially the celebration of the Mass. There are special instruction classes for the newly interested who are in grades 5 – 12.
Arts and Entertainment
This group plans and coordinates all decorations for the celebration of weekday, weekend, and special seasonal celebrations of the Mass and sacraments.
Altar flowers note: Live altar flowers are used because they live out their lives in oblation to the Lord. Donations for flowers are accepted throughout the year at the Parish Office. Contributions may be made in honor of loved ones or for special occasions.
Candles
All candles are used for both Mass and special devotions at the statues of the Blessed Mother and St. Joseph. The chairperson for this ministry orders new candles when needed.

Cursillo
The Cursillo is an encounter with Christ. This movement has a very positive result in the spiritual revitalization of the world. Its goal is that Christ be the prime influence in society by developing in adult Christians a consciousness of their mission to become leaders in the work of Christian renewal.
Eucharistic Ministers
These are adults trained and commissioned to assist the priest in the distribution of the precious Body and Blood of Christ at Mass, and to the sick and dying. If interested in this ministry, contact the Parish Office.

Greeters
These members of the Parish stand at the doors before Mass to welcome all those who come to share in the Eucharistic celebration. If interested, please contact the Parish Office.
Lay Minister of Extra-Ordinary Ministry
This person trains lectors in the procedures, and helps with the technique of elocution, orders the Lector workbooks and makes new workbooks available to all the lectors.
Lectors (Readers)
These are members of the congregation who are trained to proclaim the readings from the Bible other than the Gospel during the celebration of the Liturgy of the Mass and other sacraments. Those who are interested in learning to become a lector are always welcome. If interested, please contact the Parish Office.
Liturgy Planning
This is done by the Pastor.
Sunday Missal and Music Issue Replacement
These volunteers replace all the appropriate books as the Liturgical seasons dictate.

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) and RCIC (Rite of Christian Initiation for Children):
Prayer Line
Members of the parish who pray for Parish members, families and friends upon request. Contact persons to begin the calling list for prayers when need arises. Please contact the Parish Office for prayer concerns.
Prayers of the Faithful
These volunteers read the assigned Prayers of the Faithful at the cantor’s microphone during the Liturgy.
Sacristans (Altar Preparation)
These person prepare the altar, sacred vessels and vestments for the celebration of the liturgy of the Mass and other liturgical celebrations.
Ushers
These persons assist and coordinate the seating of worshipers (the faithful) and are responsible for collecting offerings, which are then taken to the bank after each weekend Mass. They assist the gift takers, direct Eucharistic traffic, are available for emergency aid and assist in the security of the church during the celebration of the liturgy of the Mass and other sacraments. They distribute bulletins after weekend Masses. They also count attendance at weekday Masses.
Vestments and Altar Linens
These persons are responsible for cleaning altar lines and vestments.
Vocations:
Wedding Coordinator
The wedding coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to assist the clergy, bride and groom, and wedding party by discussing and coordinating wedding plans and procedures of the church, and to provide prompting on wedding protocol. The wedding coordinator conducts the wedding rehearsal and attends the wedding, arriving early enough to direct wedding helpers as well as wedding party participants and guests. The wedding coordinator is contacted through the Parish Office.
Ministries of the Administration Commission
Church Cleaning
These volunteers clean the church on a regular schedule.
Donut Brigade
These are volunteers who get coffee ready before weekend Masses. They put out cups, napkins, sugar, sweetener, creamer & spoons. After Mass they start another pot of coffee, open donuts and put out milk. They wipe tables, pick up trash, put donations in the money bag and deposit it in the second collection slot in the usher closet. After services they turn out all lights.

Gardening Angels
These are people who provide the planting and maintenance of flowers along the walkway into Church.
HUFF (Help Us Finish Fast Committee)
St. Anthony Memorial Walkway. Cost of first paver is $200.00. Any subsequent pavers are $150.00. Pavers can serve a variety of needs, from memorializing loved ones who have passed away to honoring those who are still with us. They can memorialize significant life milestones such as birthdays, Confirmations, graduations, marriages, religious vocations, military service or anniversaries. Call the Parish Office if you would like a paver for your special need.
Kitchen Management:
Money Counters
Volunteers and office staff go to First National Bank on Monday morning to count the weekend offering, which takes about two hours. They sign off on the offering forms and then witness money drop into the night depository.
